Things to do
The area between Albany and Denmark has a beautiful coastline and is ideal for those looking for a quiet break.
There are beaches to visit and the Bibbulmun Track runs right along the coast, passing close by the chalet and through the rugged West Cape Howe National park. Other bush walking tracks take you up through the coastal dunes to limestone cliffs, revealing spectacular views of the Lowlands area along the way.
Gilge's organic produce
You are welcome to take a look around our certified organic market garden and sample the freshest, most natural vegetables you will find anywhere. Gilge's vegetables are also available from our stall at the weekly Albany Farmers Market, on every Saturday morning from 8 till 12.
During the warmer months, the area produces a wide variety of horticultural goods, which can be freshly purchased at various farm gate stalls or at local markets.
The local general store offers just about everything you might need during your stay, from fuel to liquor, videos, newspapers, magazines, groceries and other essentials.
